English Dialects and Accents from Around the World

  • We listened to recordings of native English speakers from around the world, varying in age,  gender, education, and occupation

  • We determined where these speakers were from using key identifiers (diphthongs, speed, "R" sounds, etc.)

  • Unscheduled, today we mostly talked about Super Tuesday and the US's falling democracy

  • We discussed how US primaries work (see video below for more)

  • We talked about Trump's many court cases and how the Supreme Court is entirely corrupted

State of the Union, Autonomous Driving, and Train Strikes

  • We covered various topics today on US politics: Biden's State of the Union address and how the US is now a plutocracy

  • We weighed the pros and cons of self-driving cars (autonomous vehicles), as well as their ethical dilemmas

  • We also discussed the DeutschBahn, and how to resolve them, if possible
